This blue jay is hand sewn from recycled, felted wool sweaters based on birds in my backyard. The ornament is one-sided with a coordinating wool sweater back. Each bird is handmade and the wool on the front and/or back may differ slightly from the bird pictured. This ornament is approximately 7″ wide x 3″ tall x 1″ thick and hangs from a loop with a 2.5″ drop. Lyn’s Wrens birds are “scaled” in size – please see cardinal reference picture.

The handsome blue jay has a reputation for being a bit of a bully at feeders, but his squawking comes in handy warning other birds when a hawk or owl is near.
