Downy Woodpecker; Whimsical Wool Bird Ornament Handcrafted Holiday Decoration

This downy woodpecker is hand sewn from recycled, felted wool sweaters based on birds in my Atlanta backyard. The ornament is one-sided with a coordinating wool sweater back. Each bird is handmade and the wool on the front and/or back may differ slightly from the bird pictured. This ornament is approximately 5.5″wide x 2.5″ tall x 1″ thick and hangs from a loop with a 2.5″ drop. Lyn’s Wrens birds are “scaled” in size – please see cardinal reference picture.

These handsome birds are frequent visitors to our suet feeders.
