Cedar Waxwing; Recycled Ornament; Handmade Bird Ornament

This cedar waxwing is hand sewn from recycled, felted wool sweaters based on birds in my Atlanta backyard. The ornament is one-sided with a coordinating wool sweater back. Each bird is handmade and the wool on the front and/or back may differ slightly from the bird pictured. This ornament is approximately 6″ tall x 2.25″ wide x 1″ thick and hangs from a loop with a 2.5″ drop. Lyn’s Wrens birds are “scaled” in size – please see cardinal reference picture.

These handsome birds with their masked eyes (we nicknamed them the “ninja” bird) show up mostly in the winter in our yard and will pick our yaupon hollies clean.
